HOTEL SCHÜTZEN RHEINFELDEN: character and tradition
The charismatic HOTEL SCHÜTZEN RHEINFELDEN, quietly situated at the entrance to the Old Town, has been in existence since 1846 and fascinates with its unique style. Following its modernisation in 2023, the hotel now combines authentic founder-era architecture, turn-of-the-century style and modern comforts – a living tradition that we uphold with loving attention to detail.
In the popular restaurant, guests can enjoy the delights of French cuisine with local ingredients ‘avec plaisir’ – and, in summer, they can do so on the garden terrace under the large lime trees. This is also where ‘tout Rheinfelden’ meets, be it for discussions, club meetings, business lunches or private gatherings.

RESTAURANT SCHIFF brings the concept of Swiss-Mediterranean cuisine to life: its selection and composition of each individual ingredient is what sets it apart, combining the best of Swiss cuisine with the finesse of Mediterranean food culture. Our chefs prefer to use regional and seasonal products, such as herbs from the urban garden.
